Kate joined the Everhart Team in 2006 and has been selling real estate since 1996. She has worked in sales for her entire career, initially managing a large Midwest territory for a food manufacturer out of Chicago.
In 1992, she returned home to Indianapolis ready to try something new. Kate sincerely adores representing buyers, and she wholly understands the importance of buying a home. During each transaction, she fills many necessary roles for her client –advocate, guide, advisor, and negotiator. Because of her attention to detail, patience, availability and great eye, she takes the buyer carefully through every element of the deal seamlessly. She educates the client on value all while lending an understanding, intuitive, and empathetic ear.
Kate’s willingness to show houses on short notice is unequaled, and her negotiating skills are matchless. Over her 19 years as a Realtor, she has honed her ability to consider multiple factors like home repairs, competitive data, and market yield while consulting with buyers on price. To further round out the package, Kate has rehabbed over 20 homes with her husband, Mike Elpers. In this area, she is known for her easy ability to merge historic character with modern amenities.
In her downtime, Kate enjoys spending time with family, reading, sewing, and using her nifty 3D app to help clients spec out the décor of their new homes.
